Topic 1
Foreign women volunteers in Spain
Presences, experiences, memories and silences

ESPACE NIEMEYER (PARIS) : Wenesday, October the 24th  2 :00 p.m.

Emphasis on the efforts of women in the various national contingents of volunteers should reveal their presence as that of a specific social group and question the singular memory of women volunteers. This calls into question the singular memory of women volunteers, and therefore their place in memory issues inscribed in different historical, political and emotional registers. The emphasis of the collective and singular feminine paths will shed light on the differences of context that have been imposed on women volunteers, and reveal the obstacles and constraints encountered as a woman, as an activist and often as an immigrant.
